Excellent Student Position at IFU’s North Asia office in Shanghai

We offer a unique opportunity for a highly qualified student to develop skills within sustainable investments at IFU’s regional office in China (Shanghai). We have since the first project 30 years ago, made 138 investments in 40 locations in China/Mongolia of about 20 billion RMB and positively contributing to job-creation and environmental improvements.  

Responsibilities:
•        Assisting investment professionals in preparing project description, partner analysis and due diligence
•        Budget simulation using Excel tools
•        Updating internal project management data
•        Preparation of presentations for meetings
•        Office administration and translations.
•        Assist with travel arrangements and be prepared to travel yourself as required.
•        Ad hoc tasks

If you are:
•        Currently studying for your bachelor degree and expect to pursue a master degree at Shanghai’s leading universities within business, financing, etc. performing with high academic results.
•        Highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•        Fluent in business English and Chinese.
•        Respect deadlines and actively participate in the teamwork
•        Eager to learn and willing to engage in a dynamic, international working environment

We offer:
•        A student position of approximately 20 hours per week.
•        Gross allowance of RMB 1,560 per month (pre-tax) and lunch / public transportation reimbursement during working days.

IFU – Investment Fund for Developing Countries provides risk capital and advice to companies wishing to set up business in Africa, Asia, Latin America and parts of Europe. Investments are made on commercial terms in the form of equity and loans for projects with a Danish investor or a Danish interest. The purpose is to promote economic and social development in the investment countries and enhance the opportunities of Danish trade and industry in new emerging markets.

IFU acts as fund manager for the Danish Climate Investment Fund, the Danish Agribusiness Fund, the Arab Investment Fund and IFU Investment Partners.

IFU’s head office is in Copenhagen, and we have regional offices in China, Singapore, India, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Ukraine and Colombia.
